A. Course Duration: 2 Days (Regular Training Onsite)
B. Aim:
The course is intended for officers in charge of the navigational watch, experienced Nautical Officers and other individuals with navigational duties and responsibilities.
C. Course Objective:
The main goal of this 2 days ECDIS type specific course training is to provide the Officer In-charge of
navigational watch with knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the use of FURUNO FEA 2807/2107.
D. Course Entry Standards:
Type-Specific ECDIS Training Onsite for FURUNO FEA 2807/2107 is open to Officers in charge of the navigational watch, who;
• are JSU-AMOSUP members;
• will serve/have served onboard an IBF JSU/AMOSUP-IMMAJ CBA covered vessels;
• fulfills the STCW-2010 regulation II/1 and II/2 with reference to STCW-2010 code A-II/1 and A-II/2;
• should have completed and IMO Model Course 1.27 Generic ECDIS Type of Training;
• are endorsed by manning agents who are members of PJMCC.
E. Mode of Delivery:
The Course is presented via Actual Presentation, Used of Simulators and Interaction with PJMTMI Type Specific ECDIS Trainor’s Onsite.
F. Course Certificate:
Certificate of Completion (COC) will be issued after satisfactorily attending the TYPE SPECIFIC ECDIS TRAINING course and passing both
the written and practical assessments."Certifications are accredited by ECDIS Makers and Class NK".
G. Course Outline:
• Familiarization with available functions
• Familiarization with the menu structure
• Display setup
• Setting of safety values
• Recognition of alarms and malfunctions indicators and the appropriate actions
to be taken
• Route planning
• Route monitoring
• Changing to back-up systems
• Loading and updating of the charts and licenses
• Updating of software
